- It’s election day! Canadians will soon decide who will form the next government. Didn’t register to vote? You can still do so today. Elections Canada allows voters to register on election day at their polling station – all you need to do is prove your identity and that you live in the riding.
- Polls close tonight between 7 p.m. and 10 p.m. eastern time, beginning with Newfoundland and Labrador and ending with B.C. After 9:30 p.m., polls from eastern Canada through the prairies will begin reporting results.
- A tragic incident happened on Saturday evening at the Lapu-Lapu Day street festival in Vancouver, British Columbia. Police say at least 11 people were killed and dozens more people were injured after a man drove into a crowd of people. Each of the party leaders spoke to reporters on Sunday and offered their condolences to the Filipino community and all those affected.
