Research Intern

Currently enrolled in Carleton University’s Master of Political Management program, Ty is working part-time as a research intern. Ty has years of experience working in Liberal politics, having previously served as Atlantic regional advisor to Canada’s minister of fisheries.
Ty moved to Ottawa from Halifax, Nova Scotia, in 2020 to study political science and work as a parliamentary page. Ty worked in a candidate support role in both the 2022 and 2025 Ontario elections.
At Fisheries and Oceans Canada Ty managed high-stakes relationships with industry leaders, Indigenous partners, and provincial ministers. He applied his strong interests in Indigenous reconciliation, sustainability, and strengthening the Nova Scotian economy.
