That's a wrap
Our Campaign Hub is your go-to for Summa’s proprietary insights and research on the 2021 federal campaign. Our expert team of researchers has been busy pulling together comprehensive information on the campaign, including leaders’ tours and government funding announcements. On top of that, we’re tracking platform drops from the major parties, keeping tabs on key candidates and tight races, and digging into issues at the provincial level that could move the needle for our federal parties. All of that shows us and our clients what matters most to our political leaders and the voters they need to attract
We’re using social listening software to cut through the din and spin on twitter to offer our clients a front row seat to the campaign battle across the country, providing deep analysis of the real conversations.
Sign up to receive our Campaign Spotlight for weekly updates on all of the above, insights and analysis from our public affairs team, plus the latest from our partners over at Abacus Data.
Leaders' Tours
Summa has been tracking all campaign stops for the three main federal party leaders from the beginning of July. Check out our interactive map to view the priority regions and issues as spelled out by the leaders themselves.
Think of the Leaders’ tours as high-stakes electoral triage. The tour is a campaign’s most expensive and most effective messaging vehicle, so campaigns aren’t going to prioritize regions they know they can’t win, and they won’t spend as much time in regions where the local candidates have it in the bag. Trudeau, O’Toole and Singh are all concentrating on the issues and places they believe will make the biggest difference.
For stakeholders, tracking the leaders’ tours can help inform engagement strategy. This map says a lot about how and where the parties are targeting their messages and their money.
Funding Announcements Tracker
We’ve been busy tracking all government funding announcements and the corresponding cabinet tour from July 5th through the campaign launch. Much like our ongoing platform research and the leaders’ tours, Summa’s funding announcements map reveals volumes about the Liberal strategy going into election 44. It shows regional targets and illuminates the issues Liberal strategists hope will bring the party to majority on September 20th. Take a look at our map and use the filters to view general sectoral categories.
