OTTAWA, ON – December 15, 2025 – As governments across Canada sharpen their focus on national security and defence, Summa Strategies is expanding its advisory capacity in this space with the addition of Jordan Owens as an Associate.
Jordan brings more than fifteen years of experience advising senior leaders at the federal, provincial and territorial levels, working across political and public service roles. Her expertise in public affairs and high-stakes communications has helped leaders navigate complex, politically sensitive files at the intersection of policy, politics, and public confidence.
Most recently, Jordan served as Director of Cabinet Communications for the Government of Yukon, leading communications for the Premier and Cabinet. She managed major issues and crisis files, modernized government communications, and helped position the Premier as a credible national voice on northern security and sovereignty.
At the federal level, Jordan has advised cabinet ministers and senior officials on issues including national security and defence, international affairs, foreign interference, and public health emergencies. Her experience on both sides of government gives her a clear understanding of how decisions are made, communicated, and scrutinized.
Jordan began her career in market research, advising political, corporate, and non-profit clients on public opinion, a foundation that continues to shape her analytical approach and her ability to translate complex issues into clear, actionable strategies.
She holds a Master’s degree in International Relations from Central European University and a Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy from McGill University.
