Addition of Meghan McCabe strengthens capacity for high-stakes public affairs, federal and provincial government relations
OTTAWA, ON – November 24, 2025 – Summa Strategies, one of Canada’s leading public affairs and government relations firms, is pleased to announce the addition of Meghan McCabe to its dynamic team of consultants. This appointment significantly bolsters Summa’s expertise in strategic communications, crisis management, and complex public narrative development for clients across Canada.
Meghan McCabe joins Summa as a senior consultant with experience in government, political campaigns, and media. Known for her expertise in crisis management, stakeholder engagement and storytelling, she has a proven track record of guiding complex communications in high-pressure environments.
For the past five years, Meghan served as the Director of Communications in the Premier’s Office of Newfoundland and Labrador, navigating all public communications through the COVID-19 pandemic and numerous other milestones. Meghan strategized on policy development while leading media relations, marketing, event production, and closely coordinating with federal, provincial and municipal governments and stakeholder groups.
With a background as a multi-platform journalist and producer at CBC and NTV News in her hometown of St. John’s, Meghan understands how to meet people where they are to effectively communicate in today’s hectic landscape.
She holds a Bachelor of Journalism (Hons) from the University of King’s College, a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Political Science, History and English from the University of Toronto and a Diploma in Dance Performance Studies from George Brown College.
