Ontario’s 2023 Budget | What You Need to Know

< 1

Premier Doug Ford and Finance Minister Peter Bethlenfalvy tabled their 2023 budget this afternoon at Queen’s Park. It was the government’s first post-pandemic budget and saw Minister Bethlenfalvy wind down previous COVID measures like paid sick days. Instead, the focus was on long-term funding for infrastructure, health care, job creation, and building a skilled workforce.

It is a budget trying to strike a balance. It’s doubling down on Premier Ford’s “Building Ontario” mantra with targeted investments for job creators and everyday workers.  At the same time, it’s touting the need for fiscal restraint.

Our team has reviewed the budget, pulled the highlights, and provided an analysis of what this means for you moving forward.
